Reading is Warren Buffet’s Secret Weapon

The best secret weapon is that which can be employed quickly and easily. Warren Buffet’s secret weapon is reading and he is not alone.

According to Buffet, he spends 80% of his day reading. 500 pages a day. He says reading is like compound interest, it builds on itself.

CNBC lists a number of studies by business leaders, scientists, and academic journals, all of which demonstrate a correlation between voracious reading and successful results in a broad range of categories.

Another interesting correlation is the minimal amount of television hours watched by successful people. One study reports 67 percent of rich people limited TV time to one hour or less per day. That might be a hard number to hit, but almost everyone could cut the national average 5 hours of TV watching in half and use that time to read 250 pages a day.
