We’ve all heard how being 65+ is dangerous in the age of COVID-19, but now there are 6 ideas that bust ageist myths.

New research titled “Six Propositions Against Ageism In The COVID-19 Pandemic” proposes different ways to think about older folks during the COVID-19 battle. Some of the ideas are common sense, such as the fact that older adults are not all decrepit with multiple co-morbidities, many more of us enjoy excellent health into our 80s than was common 40 years ago. A correlated idea concerns withholding intensive medical treatment because of age, which is unethical and inappropriate in most cases.
