With the Baltimore Colts as overwhelming 18-point favorites, Namath not only predicted a Jets’ win but guaranteed it while speaking during the pre-game Miami Touchdown Club dinner. His words did not fail him as the Jets won 16-7 in an overwhelming offensive and defensive victory.
The lesson is simple: Any time you think something is impossible to accomplish, think again. Boomer males have the experience, the mindset, and the motivation that can make all the difference in whatever mission you want to fulfill.
